The following is a poem my husband wrote to me on our 2nd Wedding Anniversary~
DIVINE
It’s been two years today I said my vow,
Great times is all I remember now.
You changed my life from childhood to man,
And did in a way that no one else can.
I thought I was happy and then came the day,
You told me a baby was soon on the way.
I was so nervous that day in November,
The words of the doctor I still can remember.
“You have a son, Mr. Smith” were his words on that day,
And I hoped and I prayed that was what he would say.
I couldn’t believe him, so I took a look,
A boy indeed from the doctor I took.
So I held him with you on that hospital bed,
Congratulations to my wife were the words that I said.
I looked at my boy just lying with you,
From that day on I was sure it was true.
We would be happy forever and not just us two,
We had started a family when we said, “I Do!”

Being a mother times 3 has taught me:
LOVE IS FOUND IN GREATER NUMBERS!
BEING a MOM has ALSO TAUGHT ME MORE of..
Having a positive attitude
Being more creative
Having the ability to inspire, even at my worst
Having a sense of loyalty – ALWAYS!
Having determination like The Little Engine That Could
Having dynamite communications skills
Practicing and promoting honesty
Laughing more
Listening more
Being consistent
Being flexible
Practicing more of what I preach
Quality time vs. quantity
Apologize when necessary
“They say that man is mighty,
He governs land and sea;
He wields a mighty scepter
On lower powers than he,
But mightier power & stronger
Man from his throne has hurled,
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world”

A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him, she sang:
I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living
my baby you’ll be.
