“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
I attended an experience with a couple of close friends, that for a short time, we were able to see, hear, and be apart of what someone endures in a Third World Country growing up. Hearing of a child’s journey in the desolate of the poorest nations is heart-wrenching.
However, becoming aware of others less fortunate than ourselves can open opportunity for growth and passion to understanding our world – it’s so much bigger than what we know – hard to comprehend and imagine what others do for a glass of water…
a bite of food…
or a drip of hope.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” ~Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
“Together with love, hope, and determination
we can turn dreams into reality.”
“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
You don’t have to be rich to give someone hope. All you need is to to be willing to understand and recognize how fortunate you are to have clean water, food to eat, shelter to keep you warm, and the choices of freedom.
